Harrogate is the quintessential English spa town with its elegant architecture, picturesque parks and vibrant floral displays. It was built for pleasure by the Victorians and as soon as you get out of the car or hop off the train, you can feel it: inviting, comfortable, relaxing and above all gorgeous.

From stunning architecture and afternoon teas to great dining, pubs, walks and rides out in to the the Dales everything is here on the doorstep. We are located right in the centre of town, across from the conference centre and a five minute walk to any bar, restaurant or shop.

Here at the Marmot we are a small dedicated team who love this place and know exactly how to get the best out of it, whatever you are looking for we can help you find it. We love food & drink, arts & culture, nature and all the other good things in life and can’t wait to share what we have here with you.

Bettys

One of the best classic British afternoon teas in the country at Bettys Tearoom. Amazing variety of teas and coffees imported direct, delicious pastries and cakes, sandwiches and other good savoury things in an elegant and charming setting. Arrive early to beat the queue. For a more modern afternoon tea we also love Mama Doreen's just down the road.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr

One of the few special RHS gardens in the country. At Harlow Carr you can stroll through stunning gardens, enjoy seasonal floral displays, and learn all about horticulture. The garden also hosts various events and exhibitions. It's great for kids too. One of our favourite places to go.

Turkish Baths And Health Spa

It's still possible to 'spa' in one of the last remaining working Victorian Turkish baths in the world. This historic Victorian spa offers a unique experience with its ornate, Moorish-style architecture and a range of spa treatments using lovely products from Neom.

Explore The Yorkshire Dales

Venture into the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is easily accessible from Harrogate. Hike, bike, or simply take in the breathtaking landscapes, including rolling hills, limestone formations, and quaint villages like Pateley Bridge.

Fountains Abbey And Studley Royal Water Garden

We're so lucky to have this on our doorstep, one of several gorgeous ruined abbeys in the area. This combines the abbey with an ornate water garden, and deer park. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a very special place.
